As its cyber or mega Monday today depending on which term you use we thought that we’d bring you a quick blog that will hopefully give you that little bit of inspiration if you’re struggling for ideas but want to get your shopping over and done with and out of the way today. We all know that there are quite a few men out there that have everything. They don’t need for much, so when it comes to Christmas and birthdays are a bit of a pain to buy for. Well at Mainline Menswear this Christmas we’ve put together a list of the top five designer gifts that ‘the man who has everything’ will appreciate or even not have. Read on if you’re really struggling, and even if you’re not have a read as a couple of the pieces may just tickle your fancy.
The best place to start is with the already gift boxed and wrapped. The superb designers at Armani have always got it right with socks over the years, however this year have improved on this and added a gift box and branded shoe horn in with two different designs of socks. This may sound a little crazy, but a designer shoe horn will most definitely be something that the ‘everything man’ doesn’t own, so why not fill his stocking with this truly amazing and fairly unique designer gift set thus Christmas? Priced at £29 it’s slightly more than a single pair of socks, but is beautifully presented and will really catch the imagination.
The second gift that the ‘everything man’ would love will depend on his choice of computer and phone. If he’s an Apple man then he’ll undoubtedly have an iPad or iPad 2. If this is the case then Hugo Boss has designed two beautiful leather iPad cases for Christmas 2011. The early design has a zip closing and is fully velvet lined while the newer release is more of a slip on sleeve with a strap over the top. Both have the Hugo Boss logo embossed into the leather and are priced at £89 each, so why not get him a designer iPad case this Christmas and keep his gadgets protected and looking good?
When looking for a scarf do you always struggle to find a hat to match, or are you always really cold and wanting that little bit extra to keep the warmth in? Then you need the next unique Christmas gift – the hooded scarf. Designer by Firetrap and priced at £50 this superb knitted scarf has an attached hood that means you can wear this with a sweatshirt or jacket and either have a double hood, or wear it on chilly autumn days with your gilet or body warmer for that little extra heat. Only released in grey this winter the hooded scarf has to be one of the most unique winter warmers this year, and is already beating last years favourite the snood.
Is your everything man not the sort that needs to carry change or cash around with him and likes to simply put everything on the flexible friend? Then we have a gift for him that isn’t totally unique, or never before seen but is really useful and can be upgraded to ‘Italian designer’ if this is the gift for you. Both Dolce and Gabbana and Diesel have released luxurious leather cardholders this season with two very different prices available depending on which brand you prefer. The Diesel cardholder will set you back £30 and add some colour to your pockets with the blue leather back and black leather front while the folded Dolce and Gabbana cardholder will hold notes and cards and has a very premium name on the front and inside but will cost you £162 to hold your cards and notes. Both are beautiful gifts for Christmas, and chances are will be something the ‘everything man’ will use.
And last but by no means least comes the most popular gift. When you mention designer robes you think of spas, expensive hotels and maybe Hugh Heffner but this season Armani, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren and Ted Baker have all released designer dressing gowns for Christmas 2011. With prices varying between £80 and £115 and a variety of colours and designs including black, navy, white and grey these amazing designer robes will fit well with designer slippers (does that count as number 6 on the list?) and keep the ‘everything man’ that little bit warmer this winter when getting up on a morning or for use in the bathroom. Designer loungewear is fast becoming a big thing, so why not invest in a bath robe this Christmas?
So there you have it, five amazing gift ideas that will hopefully help you to get the perfect gift for the man or men in your life this Christmas. If you need any more inspiration why not visit the Mainline Menswear Facebook page, or simply contact us and we’ll do our best to help you.
